WHAT: SEPTEMBER TRAIL WORKDAY

Thanks to all who helped us complete Trail 621 maintenance in August. Please check your e-mail or PTR Facebook posts on Saturday morning to ensure nothing has caused the cancellation of the workday!
DIRECTIONS TO STAGING LOCATION: We will be staging at 5-Corners at the intersection of Poland Rd and Big Bug Mesa, southwest of Walker. Starting at Walker Rd & Hwy 69 where Costco or AMPM gas station is, follow paved Walker Road South ~6.8 miles, just after the bridge, and turn left onto Big Bug Mesa, an easy-graded gravel road. Then an additional ~6.2 miles on Big Bug Mesa and you arrive at Five Corners (GPS 34.419806, -112.385290).
DETAILS: There will be a 9:00AM mandatory safety meeting at the PTR trailer. You will then need a motorcycle or quad to travel about 2 miles get to the intersection of 284/285 via a 50” trail; we will haul tools to this location with a UTV.
From there you can hike or ride to the south on Yankee Doodle where we will be brushing as well as repairing tread and drains. A backpack to carry loppers or a folding handsaw will be helpful. Please remember your PPE including long pants, long sleeve shirt, and eye protection. PTR has hard hats, however we are running low on glasses and gloves, so please bring your own. A bicycle helmet is fine.
Bring your own water for the trail and for lunch. Lunch will be provided by PTR!
