 WHAT: TRAIL WORKDAY

WHEN:  7:30AM SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 14TH 2024

WHERE: PRESCOTT NATIONAL FOREST, PNF #260, EAST COPPER TRAIL

Please check your e-mail or PTR Facebook posts on Saturday morning to ensure nothing has caused the cancellation of the workday!

PPE; Long pants & sleeves, hardhat (or bicycle helmet), eye protection, leather boots, gloves.

DIRECTIONS TO STAGING LOCATION: Copper Basin Rd (county 64) and 9420C (just off the end of 373, Thumb Butte Loop Rd) (34.495497°N, 112.545277°W). Travel South from downtown Prescott on State Route 89, Montezuma then White Spar, and turn right on Copper Basin Road at the first RED light past the Safeway grocery store. Travel about 6.5 miles on Copper Basin Road to the top, the PTR trailer will be on the left where 9402C starts.  7:30AM mandatory safety meeting. Bring your own water and snacks for the trail. The plan is to gather back at the PTR trailer for watermelon, donuts & Gatorade at 10:30AM.

DIRECTIONS TO WORK LOCATION FROM STAGING LOCATION:  We could use a Quad or small side x side if you have one to haul tools, otherwise you need your motorcycle and a backpack to carry some loppers. Travel South-southeast about ½ mile on 9402C to the radio antennae location, then veer right onto 48 or 260 and travel an additional 1-1/4 miles to where 48 turns left, this is our secondary staging area to work on the trail.

Watermelon and donuts are provided by PTR back at the trailer about 10:30ish.
