WHAT: TRAIL WORKDAY
WHEN: 9:00AM SATURDAY DECEMBER 14TH 2024
WHERE: PRESCOTT NATIONAL FOREST, PNF #107 NEAR WILHOIT
Please check your e-mail or PTR Facebook posts on Saturday morning to ensure nothing has caused the cancellation of the workday! REQUIRED PPE; Long pants & sleeves, hardhat (or bicycle helmet), eye protection, leather boots, gloves.
DIRECTIONS TO STAGING LOCATION: South from Prescott on 89/White Spar, 13.8 miles past Copper Basin Road/Safeway store to Mile Marker 295.5, Wilhoit. Big tree and parking area on the left or South side just before the Burro Inn. The PTR trailer and our mandatory safety meeting will be there at 9:00am
DIRECTIONS TO WORK LOCATION FROM STAGING LOCATION: We will split into two groups to perform brushing and tread maintenance from both ends of Trail 107 (starting at intersections with FSR 71 & 72). You will need your motorcycle, or vehicle to travel about 1 ½ miles from the staging to the either end of the trail (where tools will be staged.) You can ride your bike (with loppers in backpack) or hike along 107 to work areas. Please bring water and snacks for the work time on the trail. Lunch will be served back at the PTR trailer 12:30-1PM.
