We hope you will join us as we celebrate the life of Honda Bob, a renown, pioneer enduro rider of the Bradshaws and the Prescott National Forest, and an amateur radio enthusiast.

The initial meeting location for the celebration will be on Yankee Doodle trail 284 at the intersection where it splits (with trail 284A heading up towards the Mt Union fire watch tower). A picture of the location is shown below, as well as a map with an “X” at the location.  There will be a short walk from this location to where the service will be held.

There are multiple options for traveling to the Yankee Doodle/Mt Union location.  For those planning to ride, one option is to stage at Five Corners and take Poland Rd (FSR 261) west approximately 1.5 miles to the intersection with Yankee Doodle (284). Turn right on 284 and head north 0.3 miles up the hill towards the Mt Union summit and the meeting location. The Five Corners staging location can be reached via Poland Rd from Highway 69, or alternatively from south Walker Rd via Big Bug Mesa Rd. (aka PNF FSR 670).

For those not bringing their bikes, and are up for a hike, there is room to park several cars close to the Poland Rd/Yankeed Doodle (284) intersection.  Although the hike up to the meeting location is only 0.3 miles, there is a 300’ elevation gain when hiking 284 up towards the summit.
