DESCRIPTION:WHAT:   DECEMBER CLUB MEETING \nWHEN:  6PM MONDAY DECEMBER 2ND 2024 \nWHERE:  FOUNDING FATHERS (218 GRANITE ST. PRESCOTT) \nDecember’s club meeting will be held at 6pm Monday December 2nd at Founding Fathers (located behind the Hilton Garden Inn) due to holiday logistics challenges at our other frequent venues.  Based on feedback at our last meeting\, this will be our normal monthly meeting (no holiday party scheduled at this time.)  Topics will include updates on trail work\, a memorial for Russ\, a new membership calendar and PTR membership cards. \nDrinks will be available for purchase (and food through food trucks parked outside.) \nWe hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:WHAT: TRAIL WORKDAY \nWHEN:  9:00AM SATURDAY DECEMBER 14TH 2024 \nWHERE: PRESCOTT NATIONAL FOREST\, PNF #107 NEAR WILHOIT \nPlease check your e-mail or PTR Facebook posts on Saturday morning to ensure nothing has caused the cancellation of the workday! REQUIRED PPE; Long pants & sleeves\, hardhat (or bicycle helmet)\, eye protection\, leather boots\, gloves. \nDIRECTIONS TO STAGING LOCATION: South from Prescott on 89/White Spar\, 13.8 miles past Copper Basin Road/Safeway store to Mile Marker 295.5\, Wilhoit. Big tree and parking area on the left or South side just before the Burro Inn. The PTR trailer and our mandatory safety meeting will be there at 9:00am \nDIRECTIONS TO WORK LOCATION FROM STAGING LOCATION:  We will split into two groups to perform brushing and tread maintenance from both ends of Trail 107 (starting at intersections with FSR 71 & 72). You will need your motorcycle\, or vehicle to travel about 1 ½ miles from the staging to the either end of the trail (where tools will be staged.) You can ride your bike (with loppers in backpack) or hike along 107 to work areas. \nPlease bring water and snacks for the work time on the trail.  Lunch will be served back at the PTR trailer 12:30-1PM.

SUMMARY:DECEMBER 2024 CLUB RIDE
DESCRIPTION:WHAT:     PTR DECEMBER 2024 CLUB RIDE \nWHEN:    9AM SATURDAY DECEMBER 21ST 2024 \nWHERE:  THE MILITARY TRAIL #1 (PNF NORTH WILLIAMSON VALLEY) \nWe hope you will be able to join for our final club ride of the year.  Please arrive around 9AM; we plan to have a rider’s meeting then kickstands up at 10AM. \nThe ride will explore the famed Military Trail #1\, described in the attached/linked PNF PDF brochure\, which is located in Williamson Valley in the northern part of the Prescott National Forest.  The ride will be about 24 miles out and back with easier return options if desired (e.g. Williamson Valley Rd to the staging area.) \nThe staging area will be just before the trailhead on County Rd. 125 (approximately 1.4 miles west of Williamson Valley Rd.). Please see the attached map for staging location and ride routing. \nDirections to the staging area- \nFrom the intersection of Hwy 89 and Outer Loop Rd.\, take Outer Loop Rd. west for 6 miles to Williamson Valley Rd.  Turn right and continue north for 27 miles to County Rd. 125.  Turn left and continue for 1.4 miles.  Staging will be just short of the trailhead on the right. \nPTR will serve food and refreshments after the ride.
