SUMMARY:LNYX CREEK RACE COURSE PREP SECOND WORKDAY
DESCRIPTION:Thanks to all who helped on our April 18th course prep workday and to those who have volunteered to work our 2026 Lynx Creek Hare Scramble on May 16th! \nContinuing on from the repair of the washed out ruts\, we’re continueing the preparations by brushing the course in the overgrown areas as well trimming weeds and grass in the flat areas that have obscured the course track. \nWe’re assembling a work party this coming Saturday May 2nd at 8AM; to prune branches and brush\, as well as trim weeds with string trimmers. \nWe plan to meet at 8AM at the PTR Trailer on the lower area where we have constructed the finish/pits area previously on Saturday morning (the property owner has leased the upper area to a 3rd party for roll-off dumpster storage.) Here’s a map link if not familiar with the location- https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZFrFr6jjodxRAKnD9 \nIdeally\, you would be comfortable in carrying loppers in a backpack and brushing from your bike\, working autonomously\, or in small groups.  (The course has already been marked for the most part.) \nAlternatively\, we are looking for volunteers with string trimmers (the club does not own any\, but will bring mixed gas for those who bring theirs.) This task involves walking areas of the course clearing the path where there’s been a lot of weed/grass growth. An ATV or quad to access the brushing or trimming areas may also save some hiking if not bringing your bike. \nAn RSVP if you can make it this Saturday would be appreciated.  If the gate into the property is closed when you arrive\, please close and dummy lock again behind you. \nPrescott Trail Riders \nwww.PrescottTrailRiders.org \nPrescottTrailRiders@gmail.com
