DESCRIPTION:WHAT:  NOVEMBER 2025 TRAIL WORKDAY \n\n\n\nWHEN:  9:00AM SATURDAY NOVEMBER 8TH 2025 \n\n\n\nWHERE: PRESCOTT NATIONAL FOREST TRAIL #65 KENDALL CAMP TRAIL\, NEAR SENATOR & MT. TRITLE \n\n\n\nWe will continue this month repairing drains\, brushing and removing any downed trees on Kendall Camp Trail 65 located near Senator Hwy and Mt Tritle. Please check your email or PTR Facebook on Saturday morning to make sure nothing has caused a cancellation of the workday! \n\n\n\nDirections- South from Prescott on Mt Vernon or Senator\, thru the community of Groom Creek\, about 7.25 miles total from Gurley\, to just past the end of the pavement\, stay to the left on 56 towards Crown King. Start your trip-meter here. \n\n\n\nContinue 0.25 miles and turn/veer right on 79. \n\n\n\nAt about 0.6 miles total stay right on 79\, towards Mt. Tritle\, not left to Whispering Pines. \n\n\n\nAt about 1.4 miles total\, just after the concrete flat-bridge at the dry creek\, veer left to stay on 79\, not right on 79B (not well marked). \n\n\n\nAt about 1.8 miles total the PTR trailer will be parked on the right side at 79A.  There is plenty of room to park here. \n\n\n\nAfter the safety meeting\, you can ride your bike\, or ATV/quad (or hike) an additional 1.2 miles to where Trail #65 becomes single track.  Note- there are significant rock outcroppings on the two-track between staging area and Trail 65; a UTV will haul PPE/tools and has room for 3 passengers (not riding bikes) to the bottom of Trail 65. \n\n\n\nBring your own water for the trail. PTR will provide lunch afterwards. Start with mandatory safety meeting at 9:00AM at the PTR trailer.  Required PPE includes long sleeve shirt & pants\, boots\, eye protection and gloves; also\, PTR will supply hard hats\, are low on glasses and gloves so please bring your own if you have them\, please. A bicycle helmet can be used as alternative to hardhat.
